15.I.2004 :::: 15.52

micro lab let out two hours early today. micro lab smells like bacteria, of course, so it's nice to escape from it two hours early.

this however will teach me to leave my house in a hurry with neither headphones nor novels in my bag.

last weekend we had a whim to go to pittsburgh. so we did. i came home from surgeries on saturday afternoon & we packed our bags & made a hotel reservation & just left. so that was good. we bought some shelves. we saw peter pan. we got carryout from the same chinese place we always do, except this time the people who worked there were frighteningly courteous. i looked up my imaginary friend's name in the phone book. we watched curb your enthusiasm & sex in the city (not in that order). i sat in the bath listening to nick drake coming out of N's iPod, coloring cellular organelles in the anatomy coloring book.

also, yesterday i read bridget jones's diary & i liked it. so there.
